"In the Heart of the Antelope Country!"

Exploring the two Upper Musselshell Museum buildings is like prowling around in someone's attic or barn.  Be careful, though.  You may run into a full-size replica of a dinosaur skeleton found in nearby Shawmut or a horse drawn hearse with a special passenger!  There are also several collections of fossils and bones, a 2000-year-old buffalo skull and a new Plains Indian exhibit complete with arrowheads, clothing, artifacts, weapons and story boards to explain it all.  The two-story sandstone buildings, constructed prior to 1909, are filled with treasures that belonged to the people who lived in, worked, and developed the Upper Musselshell River country.
While in the Harlowton area visiting our two museums, make plans to visit the Bair Family Museum located just 2 miles off Highway 12 at the Martinsdale turn-off 22 miles west of Harlowton.
